Add/Edit/Clone Assessment

To add a new assessment, click “Add a New Assessment” in the assessment tab. If an existing assessment needs to be edited, click the “Edit” button.

The first page of the assessment form is used to name the assessment and set its timeout duration (minutes).

Assessment Name - distinguishes one assessment from another in a study. It’s recommended to use face value names to distinguish assessments from one another (e.g., “Morning Daily Diary Intervention Group,” “Quit Date Morning Daily Diary Control Group”).

Assessment Timeout (minutes) - allows studies to customize how long a specific assessment can be, that is, how long a participant has to complete an assessment before it closes.

In the example below, the Assessment Name is “Daily Morning Assessment Group 1” and when a participant takes this assessment, they will have 10 minutes to complete it before the assessment closes.

It is important to note that the Assessment Name will only allow alphanumeric characters and spaces.

Questions can be added on the second page form. To add the first question to the assessment, click “Add a question to the top.”

To change question order, use the “Move” button.

After moving above or below a question, click “Save” to finish.

Cloning Assessment

Cloning or copying an Assessment is possible by clicking “Clone” within the Assessments tab. Cloning copies the identical assessment settings for quicker study setup of similar assessments.

After clicking on “Clone,” a dialog box will appear asking to continue with cloning the assessment.

After cloning the assessment, the assessment will appear in the list with “ - Copy” attached to the end of the question. The name of the assessment can be changed by clicking “Edit.”
