A question type that enables researchers to create skip pattern formulas by adding / subtracting / multiplying / etc. participant answers to questions.


Creating Calculated Field Question Type

To create a Calculated Field Question, click “Add a New Question” on the Questions tab in your study.

Select Calculated Field as the question type and complete the required fields denoted by '*'. Add your questions to be calculated into the Calculated Field Logic field. A list of available formulas for use can be found on this page ➡️ Useful EDC Formulas.

Function names are not case sensitive (i.e., DateDiff, dateDiff, and datediff are all equivalent).
