For Example

{{[VariableName]}}

By adding the double curly brackets around a variable name in square brackets, the text response of the variable will display in the RichText/Email question type.

This can offer customization for RichText questions that provides a unique reply to participant responses.

For example, if some Radio question [VariableName] asked:

Today, I mostly felt…

Value 1. Happy
Value 2. Frustrated
Value 3. Sad
Value 4. Disgusted

and a participant answered with “Frustrated,” a RichText question can be displayed to them that includes their response and offers ways to healthily handle the feeling.

It can also be sent in an email to researchers to identify participants who may need additional counseling.

This can be set up first by creating a question. In this case we used a radio question type to gauge the participant’s mood.

If the participant selects “Frustrated,” the participant is presented with various tips on how to cope with frustration using a message bin question type.

The message bin question type is created before adding to an assessment.
