Timestamp

The timestamp is a question type the participant will not see, but when added to an assessment it records the time and date (mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss) at that point in time. The timestamp can be used in conjunction with various formulas such as the DateDiff function for branching logic. This item type is commonly used to determine how long a video or other item is engaged with. For example, one Timestamp item can be added right before a video item and another Timestamp item with a different variable name can be added right after the video item. Subtracting the two Timestamps will indicate how long a video was watched.

To create the timestamp question, select “Timestamp” as the question type and type a valid variable name (i.e., no special characters or spaces). There will only be one section to complete for question creation.
